I'm searching for any information on the emmigration of the MacRaes to County Down during the Ulster Plantation of the 1600s. Specifically, I'm looking for anything that might help me to find the father of William MacRea, who was born in Kintail, Rosshire, Scotland in 1670 and who probably came to County Down with his parents during the Plantation.
I've already checked with the Clan MacRae Society, and they couldn't find William in their database. He also doesn't appear in the clan's genealogies. Any help would be appreciated.
