Hi. I'm looking for any information on my Stewart ancestors, begining with Margaret Stewart, Countess of Angus who was born in 1325. She was the mistress of William Douglas, Earl of Douglas and had at least one child by him, a son, George Douglas, First Earl of Angus.

George married Mary Princess of Scots (daughter of King Robert Stewart III and Annabella Drummond) on May 24, 1397 in Scotland and had 3 children by her: Elizabeth "Mary" Douglas - Lady Forbes (by marriage) b. approx. 1398, Sir William Douglas - 2nd Earl of Angus b. approx. 1399, George Douglas - 4th Earl of Angus b.approx. 1404. George died of the plague and Mary subsequnetly remarried 4 times.

But I could go on and on about the descendants of Margaret Stewart, but that's not what I'm typing this for. I would dearly love to know if anyon has anymore information on Margaret Stewart, Countess of Angus, the mistress of William Douglas - Earl of Douglas. Thanks for reading.
