I am a Master's student at York University conducting an oral history project on the immigration experiences of Danube-Swabian immigrants in Canada. Inspired by my grandparents' stories of the old country and unique immigration experiences as ethnic German immigrants from Yugoslavia, I am very interested in recording experiences of other Danube-Swabian immigrants. In particular I am interested in stories about thier lives Yugoslavia, Romania and Hungary prior to immigrating, the circumstances of emigration, and thier new lives in Canada.
