Soren Andersen b. 1834 in Denmark, came with his children and wife: Kirsten-Maren Sophie Nielsen, to Cedar Falls, Iowa
1884. Family story says that he had a brother who was living there before he arrived.
Most of the his children took the surname Sorensen.
Niels Peter/Peder Sorensen was a son, b. in Den. 1876, became a Lutheran Minister and served churches in Nebraska, Minnasota and Oshkosh and Recine Wisconsin.
Niels Peter Sorensen was married twice, a child of his second marriage was Rhoda Lillian Sorensen b. 1926. She married Curtis L. Johnson, had four children. After Curtis' death she married Robert Valentine.
I am helping her son, my son-in-law, to research the family.
