I have been unable to further my research on my Mayo family lineage. Newton G. Mayo married to a "Mary" was the father of James Wesley Mayo born 1828. My grandmother's family Bible lists Irish descent, I hope someone may have further information that can point me in the right direction. Thank you to anyone who may be of assistance. He may originated in the South Carolina, USA area or imigrated here in the late 1700's.
