Anyone who has anything they can share with me I am trying to get a working committee organized in reference to this so that the Spanish heritage in New Iberia, LA can be promoted.

Anyone researching the Flores/Flowers family in Lousiana, circa 1847, leaving for Texas after the 1850 census? Some of the family changed their name to Flowers. Or was it Flowers to begin with? We are very confused. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

first of all i was born in lafayette loouisiana and i was wondering why they havent had spanish becouse where we com from ancestores had to speeck french back when they came over from Spain or iberia but spanishharitage in texas and every where go you see hispanic every i is here but hispanic cela brete spanish haritage have been more importent tome becouse originand what spanishsh haritage mean to me spanish the most importent is the people thet came to louisiaback in time so my acestores named the place back in1779 january 14th thets and everyth but raised in teas or tejas so i now enough hispanic history thet if want now anything about spash haritage please send me andemail

I've been doing some research on 'Sanches' and 'Plaisance' in Southern Louisiana
My 'Sanches' lines are from the Canary Islands Would the Plaisance line also originate in the Canaries?

Rendon in Rapides Parish

I am related to Andres Rendon who was born in Louisiana around 1840. His parents were immigrants from Spain. He married a French-American, Olivia Ferrand in 1867. He fought for Louisiana in the Civil War. Andres also went by Andrew. Sometime after they married, he and Olivia moved to Texas. When Andres was 9, he was living on a plantation owned by William L. Armena Rodrigues in Louisiana

I am looking for information on my 4x great grandmother, Armena Rodrigues. I know that she was from the Canary Islands (or at least of recent descent of the Canary Islands), but I do not know the specific island. She was probably born around 1850.

She married William Shaeffer in Louisiana (Greater New Orleans area). They had 5 children, who all lived in Louisiana: Roeslla Mary Jane (my 3x great grandmother), William, Joseph, Annie, & Christina.

Jose, I would be happy to donate whatever it takes to obtain at least (2) of any Gusman documents that are found. I believe they will connect sooner or later.
As we pursue them in Spain, I can probably donate for two at a time as the purse strings allow.
