Anne,

Wincas would be Vincas (pronounced VIN SUS)in Lithuanian since there is no letter "W" in the Lithuanian alphabet. It likely was Germanized spelling of the given name.

Jurksztuite is the unmarried spelling of the family surname. The SZ sound is now represented in Lithuanian as S^ symbol and pronounced as SH.

Madge would likely be Magdalena. Wiktorija would be Viktorija in Lithuanian.

Aleknewiczuite is an umarried female spelling. The CZ sound is now represented as C^ and is pronounced as CH.

Let me know if I can be of any help. If you check the Lithuanian Global Genealogical Society bulletin boards you can get some more help, especially from Maureen(MST) who is in the UK and has done a good deal of research on Lithuanians in Scotland.

Good hunting.

Tom
