Searching for information on William S. CONNOR family who lived in Newaygo County from about 1873 until about 1878. William's father, Charles W. CONNOR believed to have come to Ontario, Canada from County Antrim, Ireland in about 1830. They lived in a small town called Banner, Ontario.

About 1878 or 1879 the family removed to Fairfax County, VA. They traveled with the MERCER family who were related through William CONNOR's wife Emeline MERCER. Emeline's parents, Jordan and Martha MERCER, Emeline's brothers, Edward and Walter and Edward's family, wife Emma and child Charles MERCER.
