Classification: Query
Surnames: Bailey, Rhodes, Anderson
I realize they ceded the lands prior to 1840
The difficult issue I have is oratory stories.
My grandmother stated her grandmother Pete Cope
She stated he looked just like the indian actor that played on Outlaw Josie Wales.. His mother was Lucy Bailey and she married a Doctor Marshall Cope around 1871.

The only other name that I have that "Might" be indian is an Ann or Anna Prather. She married Simon Rhodes in Indian Creek are of what is now Bullock County Ala.

My grandmother's mother said her name was
Emma Marlila Lusana Elvona Larsena "Elizabeth" Sasherlee Frances Copes

I believe all of those names are linked to either family members or something like that however, I haven't been able to link these names to anything other grandparent name.

I appologize if this is too scant of information but of course with genealogy you have to come up with a lot of "theories"

What I was hoping for was some insight on families who remained in Pike/Bullock and stated they were indian or part indian and what were those surnames or stories. That would help me to understand what type of information I should look for.

Thanks in advance
