Seeking info on Karl Fischer / Carl Fisher.

Karl Fischer was probably born in Frienwalde, Pomern, Preusian, Germany about 1852. His father's name was Johann / John Fischer and he was a baker. Karl may have had two brothers: James and Charles and / or six sisters.

At age 21, Karl Fischer was working for Zam Zam in Caledonia, Wisconsin and had changed the spelling of his name to Carl Fisher. On January 28, 1878, he married Bertha August Garske / Garska in Portage, Wisconsin. They went to Central City, Nebraska and bought land near the town of Archer. They planted trees which are still known as Fisher Grove. Four children were born there: Anna Adalia, Rose Maria, William Anton and Martha Helena.

In April 1885, the sold their land and moved by covered wagon to Rushville, Nebraska. They homesteaded four miles south. The following children were born there: Henry, Carl, Benjamin, Elsie, Frank and Mabel.

Carl received his citizenship papers in April 1896. He died in a wagon team runaway on November 4, 1903 near Rushville, Sheridan County, Nebraska.

I have been unable to verify his date and place of birth, or find anything else about his parents and family of origin. Any help greatly appreciated.
