Ancestor researching might be something one run into when one gets retired. In my case, ten years before retire; I received some old photos and a couple of letters two years ago that gave me some sort of trace to follow. I got the chance to search footprints of some close ancestors who emigrated from Sweden to America. After starting my research I was stocked due to it was so interesting. But as a Swede living in Sweden and trying to identify photos of old ancestors who immigrated to America during the late 1890's and the beginning of 1900's is just like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Three months ago, from an old Swedish ancestor, I received roughly twenty old photos of ancestors in America who are unknown, as we can't identify the persons on the photos. In this case they probably went Nebraska. At the page you will find photos from Omaha - Douglas County, Lincoln - Lancaster County, Norfolk - Madison County
There are also some other photos of relatives who went to Leadville and probably some later left for Denver, Chicago and Moorhead.
In several cases I have names of persons and also some short story of them but I can’t combine the names and the photos.
It's my understanding, guess and hope that many people in America - with Swedish roots - might have a lot of old family photos at their homes. My unidentified photos are published at the Internet pagehttp://oldphotos.homeip.net/Photos.htm
Hopefully some of you will be able to find a photo that matches your owns or you might recognize and have information about some of the persons on my photos.
I'll be grateful for every single clue that will help my research; my contact information will be found at the Internet pagehttp://oldphotos.homeip.net/Photos.htm
