This is a new board I created for anyone who's ancestors were Rusyn, Polish, Austro-Hungarian, etc, and who were from Pennsylvania. I have done a lot of reseach in this area and would like to promote discussion, and comonalities, etc.

My ancestors were Nikolaj (Nicholas) and Parascevia (Wronik) Halkowicz, who came from Binczarowa, Poland in 1888, and 1895 to the coal region of Pennsylvania. They lived in Poland, were categorized as Austrian, Polish, Russian, etc. What they really were is Rusyn. They were Greek Orthodox Russians.
