Hi... seems i just found this message (three years later).

Have found a great deal since 2009. Eva immigrated in ~1884 with husband Wojciech Marchwica (spelled Markwitza in the immigration records)... Marchwica was Americanized to Marfica and then to Marfice, but not while Eva had the name. She married Charles Ciechon (Chiochon) in ~1896 in Platte Co., Nebraska. They moved to Holt County Nebraska with her children; they had 5 more children; my grandfather was the youngest of Eva's children with Wojciech.

Family story is that Mr. Chiochon was not a very agreeable stepfather and my grandpa lived with neighbors until old enough to be on his own. Eva left Charles at some point between 1910 and 1920, moving to Omaha to live with her eldest daughter Mary Marfica Stanek. She lived with Stanek's until her death in 1936.
