I am researching the JILOTE surname. I would like more information on the JILOTES of Guanajuato, MEX. I have found church records dating back to 1649.

I know the name means "green corn" or "little corn". I have found a Native American family by the name of JILOT that are Chippewa and living in Montana. Other than that, the only other JILOTEs I have found are related and most are living in TX.

Anyone that knows how to find info in Guanajuato.... let me know!
