Thanks for the infor Merle. I'm just so frustrated with the Mann lineage. I suppose we'll never find their parents. I've never heard of anyone being called "Thankful." However, I just found a few while researching.

Okay, this is my lineage:

Thomas Mann (1737) 4th g-grandfather
William Mann (1778) 3rd g-grandfather
Stephen Gilette Mann (1822) 2nd g-grandfather
Elizabeth Rachel Mann (1842) g-grandmother
Jacob Clemment Skiles (1879) grandfather
Melvin Skiles (1918) father

I just found a couple of self-published books on the Skiles, but they must be out of print.

Also, there is another book out of print I've been trying to locate written by "Robert Mann," Stephen Gilette's brother. It is "The Autobiography of Robert Mann." It gives some history into their lives, but mostly about the county they lived in - I think. Sure wish I could get that book. So I've got 3 on my list of "out of print." Shucks, wouldn't you know it.

Thanks again Merle for the info you've provided. I'm willing to share, so if you need anything that I might have, let me know. Nadie
