My grandfather Michael Caulfield, left Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, Ireland with a 5 LB note on his head in 1914 and did not return to Ireland for a visit until the mid 1950's. I would like some guidance on how to research the reason for the bounty on him. Thanks for your help.
