Hi Everyone,

I am having such a hard time with this, my moms father's family the Colvin's have always said that they were of English and Irish decent "with a few other's, Welsh, Dutch and Native American "can't find proof of either". But anyways this Irish question is what is really bothering me, my great-grandmother when I was young told me I had Irish in me, and the weekend she passed away my great Aunt repeated it and my cousins all have acknowledged it at some point. But has I am doing research on this website I have yet to find one. For starters, my great grandmother's name was Evelyn Ellen Harvey her father's name was Clayton C. Harvey and Mother was Hazel B. Moulton, my great grandfather's name was Raymond Colvin, fathers name was Everet Colvin and Marguerite Brown. Most of my family has lived around PA and NY. This Irish question has really started to bother me for the fact I love Irish Culture, have my whole life, I am an Irish Step Dancer and teach it. I have also lived in Ireland for a year and felt deeply connected. I have thought about sending out DNA but it's so expensive and I am almost afraid for some reason. But, so far I have only found a lot of English heritage and one person who was Welsh.People have alway told me I "look Irish" out of the blue as well. So can anyone please help me! It would be greatly appreciated.
