I have heard of many hauntings in the PA region especially where there are battle grounds and old burial grounds. There have been many books written on the subject but I can't be specific as it has been a long time since I have read any.
I remember as a young person reading and hearing about ghostly battle reenactments at Gettysburg on the anniversary of the battle. Beyond that I can't help you much.
