Hello all Fordham descendants.
Last year I picked up an album of postcards from my local recycling centre - it was in the skip for paper - and brought it home. I would like to give it to someone who is related to the person it evidently belonged to, an Elsie Fordham. The postcards were all sent to this, probably about 12 year old, girl in around 1910. They are commercial Xmas, New Year, Birthday greetings cards and also some from English sea resorts or local Hertfordshire beauty spots. Most are written and posted, some are blank. None have family photographs on the front.
I need to be able to distinguish real bonafide relatives from imposters (although I don't think this album of cards is worth much in pure monetary terms), so can you please tell me the address where the cards are sent to, something only a relative would know. Then we can arrange a convenient time for me to hand the album over.
I am prepared to hang onto the album for a year or two, then I'll approach a Hertfordshire museum with it.
