Martin,
The second link proved to be not what I am looking for. The first link, doesn't sound like it's the correct place either, since we do not live in Ireland. However, I did email them and asked for some assistance.
Where else can I go to look, would you know? I am sure there are many. I know at the time of registration, my brother belonged to the Maguire Clan in Ireland..a group that had a quarterly magazine sent to him..I don't know if that has any connection to heraldry of not..I have seen his certificate of Registration, so I do know it existed but when people pass on, some of the things that are important to them are not important to others and disposed of...innocently of course. This is very frustrating!
Also, I am sure that you would know, Would the ability to use this crest be given down to his eldest son or would the son need to re-register it in his name.
Thanks
;)christine
