Received an error on original post. Apologies if this is a duplicate!
I was able to visit California last week and so I have a much better photo of my grandmother's picture. Incidentally, opon close inspection I realized that what I had always thought was white was actually metallic gold paint, which in some light appears white. Therefore, the game has changed a bit!
Per pale, gules a cross humetty or, or a lion rampant gules.
