Surnames: Egan and McVeigh
Trying to find the origins of James Christopher Egan born c1834, and his wife Sarah McVeigh, who may or may not have married in Australia around 1854. They may have arrived in Australia seperately, or met here. Their children, Madeline Kate Egan (married William James Bassett 1882) was born at Strathboggie (Aust)in c1860,Mary Ann Egan (married an Owen Egan from Kings Co, in 1878)was born at Murrumbidgee (Aust) in 1856, and 2 sons who died shortly after birth, Peter 1863 and Francis 1864.
