Surnames: Johnson, Myers
need help finding out when exactly Charles Johnson (Jr and Sr) immigrated from somewhere in Germany to Ontario Canada. Have Charles Jr. in ontario 1871 census with is wife and kids but also living with them is an Annie Myers, 71 yrs from Germany. family lore has the Myers name being changed to Johnson upon immigration. I am at a brick wall with Charles Johnson and his parents. Any help greatly appreciated. have tried immigration lists, ships lists (found one with a Charles coming to Castle Garden in 1852ish),canada census etc.
