My grandparents were James William COOLEY born in East Tn. and Lucinda Annie Jane SMITH COOLEY born in East Tennessee. I am told that James William COOLEY'S parents were Jesse and Martha COOLEY. I never meet my grandfather but I was told he always said that his mother was a FOX but nothing to back that up. Lucinda Annie Jane SMITH'S parents were Isaac SMITH and Mary Jane HICKS SMITH. I have been told that the HICKS side had Indian blood and now I am told that the COOLEY did also. Any help?
