My great grandfather was on the Oriana in 1924, sailing from Peru to Liverpool. The record states "do" for occupation. Does it mean declined to offer?
Also, in a notice of probate upon his death, it says his name and then "of Peruvian House 4 Windsor Terrace Dipton..." ; does this mean that the notice is stating that his residence was in Peru, but that the other part was his address in Dipton, Durham? They crammed a lot of information in that obituary with no punctuation in between, so it's not apparent.
