1. John Ball from Winshire, England, of this branch of the family in America, was a resident of Watertown and amade a free man in 1650. He is said to be one of six sons of William Ball, of Wiltshire England, all six of whom emigrated to New England in 1635on on the ship "planter". He died November 1, 1655.
His wife was probalbly Joanne King he had two sons more. One named are: John (2) Ball born in England about 1620 Nathaniel Ball
2. John (2) Ball, sone of John (1) Ball born in england about 1620, came to America with his parents, where he first lived with his parents. They first lived in Watertown, moving to Lancaster, Mass. between 1679-1675. On February 10 1675/76, John (2) Ball, his wife and one of their sons were slain by Indians, and two were taken by captivity. He married 1st Elizabeth Pieroe, she was born in England died before October 3rd 1665 daughter of John and Elizabeth Pieroe. He married (2) Elizabeth Fox. His children of first marriage: John Ball, Mary Ball, Esther Ball b. 1667, Sarah Ball, b. 1655, Abigail Ball b.il 20,1658. Child of second marriage: Joseph Ball b. March 12, 1669/70 slain by Indians with his parents.
