Mike, As you know this new database covers only 5 years so far but building fast. However, the names must be exact, not Miracode or phonetic. So if KUS was on the records, then they were using KUS as their name not the long Polish spelling. Also, the records only show departures from Hamburg / if they went to England on INDIRECT voyage, it only show ship from Hamburg to England, losing the next segment, England to USA or Canada. However, it does show FINAL DESTINATION and, Town they CAME FROM. Going INDIRECT was cheaper so poorer ones went that way. Liverpool doesn't have a database as Hamburg. Re CHELM, the Polish Library may have a phone book - I'll check Saturday. I'll check family distributions in Poland a/o 1990, by Province/wojwoidzwu. IF YOU CHECK SOME OF MY OTHER RESPONSES, you'll check the LDS/Mormon FHLC, pgsa.org etc.. By the way. WHAT TOWN in Chelm Province??The Polish Library in Chicago has a lot of material but check the websites first.
