Cheryl,

Here is the issue....

The US census lists 255 men named Abraham KAHN

There are 70 WW I and WW II Draft Registrations for Abraham KAHN... even though he may not have served in the armed forces if he was of age during the Draft Registration he was required to register... both Citizens and non-citizens...

US immigration records find at least 70 men named Abraham KAHN... 17 US Passport applications...and a few dozen in Naturalization records.....

So you can see giving his first name .... did nothing and giving his surname did little more!

So if you can answer ...

1) when was he born?
2) when did he come to the US?
3) where did he live in the US?
4) what was his wife's name?

Perhaps with that info we may be lucky enough to find his hometown listed on one of the draft registrations or Naturalization papers... and if he changed his name maybe the Naturalization papers will indicate that name change.
