Assume you mean "How long did the train take from Hartlepool to Liverpool in 1873"? The journey from Hull to Liverpool took about 7 hours. Hartlepool is a bit further north and I think the distance is a bit shorter so maybe 5-6 hours. However you have to remember that the emigrants did not necessarily disembark and get on the train immediately - they often had to wait, sometimes for several days. The same thing happened in Liverpool - they did not immediately step from train to ship. They were put up in hostels and lodgings until their ship was ready to sail. So it might be only 5 hours for actual travel from Hartlepool to Liverpool but the whole time spent in England between ship and ship could be considerably longer, up to a couple of weeks.
