There was a lot of Irish who arrived in Whitehaven Cumbria but I cant find any records of names etc. I am trying to find records of Mary Cronin and Thomas Crilly emigrating from Ireland to Cumbria
Apparantly coal was shipped from whitehaven to Ireland, so I assume many of the Irish emigrants got passage on the return journey of these coal ships
