This is trickier than I thought it to be...so I need some more, as I first of all want to find all possible census to "trace" the family and secure dates/years. You say he died in 1920. Was he a widow then? Did Matilda die before him? I have found a couple of possible families in Kansas for the time 1900-1910 but one of them states his age to 10 years older...not that that's rare, but I need more facts to be sure. And, where in Marshall county did they live, any idea? How about kids? Any names and years? To be able to go back I need to confirm their life here. The reason for that is that I seldom trust the records "over here", they're too often not completely correct. Sorry, but I need a little more to move on.
