My grandfather came to the USA on a ship from Russia betweem late 1920-1930's the ship was I believe the SS America through Ellis Island,I was told that he had fled from behind the "Iron Curtain" what ever that might mean to somebody, thats all I really know and that he had to shorten his last name to "Young" from what I am told by my father,I think he may have really been German and not Russian to get into the United States...He spoke 7 different languages fluently and was a chief baker,he married my grandmother (Basilia Berrego) also known as Lee Young she was deffinately from Cuba that I know for a fact...I am looking for any truth to this and photos of either one of them if possible and the ship as well, they came through Ellis Island...thank you for any help in advance..have a great night...Teresa
