Phillip and Rosina Semmel
These are my great grandparents. They were Germans from Anap, Russia and came to the US in 1900 with at least 1 daughter, Lydia. A son may have died on the voyage. They went to Woodward, OK and had several more children, Elsie Semmel (my grandmother) being one. Phillip died in 1915 and I am trying to find out the cause of death. He had a 1 year old and was only in his late 30's early 40's. Rosina lived until around 1956. Actually, any information about them would be greatly appreciated. I would love to know why they came to Oklahoma when most of the Semmels who came to the US stayed in the NY, PA area.
