Morris Schultz married to Bessie Krones (both from Russia)

Classification: Query
Surnames: Schultz, Krones, Kroen
I am 16 years old and I am trying to research my genealogy on my father's side.

I have been able to find Morris Schultz in the 1940 (NY), 1930 (NJ), 1920 (NJ), 1910 (NJ) & 1900 (NY) censuses.

I have been able to also find his wife Bessie Krones Schultz in the 1940 (NY), 1930 (NJ), 1920 (NJ), 1910 (NJ) & 1900 (NY) censuses, but I think in the 1900 census that she is listed as Clara Kroen.

The censuses say that they both immigrated from Russia in 1897, they got married in 1904 and they both became naturalized citizens in 1912.

But I can't find them anywhere in the naturalization records or in the passenger lists for the boats that came to New York! I searched the Ellis Island database too and found nothing.

I am wondering if they had different last or even first names when they got on the boats from their homeland, because Schultz is German and they were both Russian Jews.

Where or what do I do next? My last source is the 1900 census.

Thank you :)
