I am looking for information on John Ryan who was born around 1806 in Ireland. He married Jane (unknown last name), born 1813 in County Armagh, Ireland and lived in the town of Goodale, Lake County, Illinois for the 1850 census with their kids, son John Ryan (age 12), daughter Margaret Ryan (age 10), daughter Ann Ryan (age 3), and daughter Mary J. Ryan (age 8 months). Ann and Mary were born in illinois. It is unknown where John and Margaret were born. In 1860 the family included son Edward Ryan (age 7), and daughter Ellen Ryan (age 4) and were living in the town of Cuba, Lake County, IL. But father John was no longer in the family. And he was never seen in any other census'. This means he could have passed somewhere between 1855 and 1860. Or he could have left for the military with the upcoming Civil War. By 1880 the family was living in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. I would love to find out the date of his death and where he came from in Ireland. Also, if they were in the 1840 census and possibly Jane's maiden name.
