Spard. is most probably the spardeck. As this ran the full length of the ship it was quite probably divided into sections which the number would refer. As to luggage, in later sea travel one always had "hold" luggage and "Cabin baggage" - the former obviously put in the hold the other kept in the cabin with the passenger. There would be a maximum square footage but apart from that it could be a box, a trunk, a bundle or anything else the passenger had available. Typical contents? I would assume that any person took what was most important to him - whether that makes anything "typical" I would doubt.
