I found the U.S. Passenger list document for the German ship S.S. Rugia. I've made sense of everything but a couple areas. First, it says my ancestors were located in the "Spard -1" section of the ship. This word "Spard" shows up often and sometimes has the number 4 after it. What and where was that section?

It also says this particular family of five came over with 2 pieces of luggage. Was there a standard type of luggage back then? If so, what were the typical contents?

many thanks.
