Hello wieland81! I have just started to search my ancestry. I am Kathe Voegelin, daughter of Phillip Voegelin. He had several brothers, including Byron and Kenneth. I never knew him, and my mother did all she could do to make sure we'd "never know each other," so I have little to nothing to go on. I believe his father was Friederich, who also arrived via Le Havre. There were quite a few Voegelins on that ship. Do you think it is the Danube? These Voegelins settled in the New York/New Jersey area.
I did locate a Mildred C. Voegelin (New Jersey) who said she was my fathers cousin. She was rather unwell when I tried to question her, and sadly died soon after, so I am pretty much at square one. She had a sister, Florence. Do you know any of these Voegelins?
Thank you!
