Hi
I am trying to establish when Charles arrived in England, he was born in the Alsace region of France and was here in 1859 cos he married that year in Oxfordshire. He was a Professor of Languagues at Oxford University, eventually settling at Oak Farm, Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire.
Does anyone have any idea how I can get a birth certificate or find out when he entered this country?
