Hello Sarah

I am afraid I have to agree with David's post (see below) that the information from Stevie is probably unreliable.

The only Violet on the 1901 census with a mother called Phoebe and siblings of Liliian and Harvey is living in Newington in London. The details are as follows:

Harvey H Payne Head Married Male 41 Dog Biscuit Coy Potter CLARE, SUFFOLK
Phoebe Payne Wife Married Female 43 - THURLOW, SUFFOLK
Phoebe Payne Daughter - Female 13 - BERMONDSEY, LONDON
Harvey H Payne Son - Male 11 - NEWINGTON, LONDON
Lilian Payne Daughter - Female 9 - NEWINGTON, LONDON
George T Payne Son - Male 7 - NEWINGTON, LONDON
Arthur E Payne Son - Male 5 - NEWINGTON, LONDON
Violet P M Payne Daughter - Female 1 - NEWINGTON, LONDON

The census reference is: RG13 Piece 378 Folio 33 Page 58 and the address is 3 High Park Crescent, Newington

I have looked at the ancestry passenger lists and was surprised to find another family with similar names going to Canada in 1901. James and Jane PAYNE had a son Harvey and daughter Violet (and other children) going to Halifax!
