I am trying to find out how and when my g grandfather came to England. He was born 1866 Baumerlenbach, Wurrtemberg Germany. I think it is possible that he didn't come until about 1886 when his father died. I have tried passenger lists but they all seem to be heading for America. He was certainly here in 1891 (census).Any suggestions welcome! Alice. p.s. He may have returned to Germany in 1922 for his mother's funeral, with his eldest daughter, possibly from London. I would like to find out about this also.
