I have found a Jno Daly & Ann Shanahan coming to the US aboard the ship Saragossa. They arrived at NY May 27,1880. They departed fromthe port of Liverpool, England.

My mothers paternal Great garndparents were John Daly & Ann Shanahan. They were married in Chicago, IL Sep 27 1883. It is possible that the two on the Saragossa are my mothers great grandparents.

The problem is the manifest gives no information other then Ann was a Spinster, (unmarried) @ the age of 19 & John was a Laborer. Ages are very close to ages on marriage certificate.

I was hoping that there may have been more information @ the port of Liverpool. Maybe telling whare they were from. If both were from county Kerry Ireland, it doubles my chances this is a match. Maybe it even would have the names of their parents listed.

Do you think you can help? Thank You, Best Regards,

Maye B-T.
