Surnames: GRAHAM HOUGHTALIN DAVY SWEET
I have hit a brick wall with my Graham and Houghtalin ancestors. I have evidence leading me to suspect a connection to Palatines from Ireland--in particular, the Embury family who traveled to NY from Limerick in 1760 and later settled in Fredericksburg, Ontario.
My earliest confirmed Graham ancestor is James Sweet Graham b. abt 1824, believed to be the son of William Henry Graham and Pattey Sweet. Have been unable to find any trace of William Henry or Pattey's origins.
My earliest confirmed Houghtalin ancestor is William Houghtalin who married Mary Davy in 1818 in Fredericksburg. I also have been unable to trace William Houghtalin's origins.
Would appreciate any information/assistance.
Sincerely,
Jeannie Graham
