I am trying to find out more information about Frederick Mayberry. This family is said to have been German and to have come to NJ sometime before 1750. Curiously they ended up in Bedford County Virginia where Frderick and his so Henry signed a petition in a Presbyterian church. Many of the other signers of the petition appear to be Irish or Scot or both judging by their surnames (Kennedy, Campbell, Armstrong, Dooley)
My theory is that this Mayberry family might well be part of the Palatine group settled in Ireland who came to America with other peopel who lived around them.
Is anyone of aware of a Palatine German family named something that would translate to Mayberry?
