My ancestors came over in a box...

...or something.

I am seeking the immigration route for my Great Grandfather, Daniel Banks, born ~1880 in County Donegal. He immigrated ~1894 (according to census records) but I cannot find him anywhere in Passenger lists and such. His siblings Mary, Patrick, Bridget, Margaret, Phillip, Ellen, and Thomas all came to the US as well (settled in Chicago). They did not apparently come at the same time, but again - can't find any of them. Where are the most likely ports that I should be concentrating on? I am 99.99% sure they did not come through Ellis Island/New York.
Thanks
