Wigtonshire, Scottish Fergusons immigrate to NY/NJ 1844

Surnames: FERGUSON, FURGERSON, FURGASON
Geo. Fergusons came to US 1844 from Wigtonshire, Scotland. He said there was a big storm and the captain of the ship demanded "Half your goods into the sea." They threw 2 chest over and did make it to NJ (later IL).
