Can you tell us what year your grandpa was born, and where, and what HIS name was? That would help people locate your great-grandpa. A wife's name or his parents' names would be helpful too.

Also, how certain are you about the spelling of his original name? Perhaps you can ask your oldest relatives how he spelled it. I can think of another Armenian name that sort of sounds like that, but many Armenian names are very close in sound and spelling, so it's best to double-check.
