My mom [Leah Anderson - maiden Foreman] was probably on the same ship. She was from Rockhampton and married my father in Australia. She traveled from Brisbane to San Francisco in June 1945 on the SS Lurline as well. She now resides in Northern Minnesota. There is an individual in Australia who is publishing a book about Australia war brides and my mother has been in contact with her. She might be interested in your mothers story as well.
