Stops in Travel Path
After years of looking, I finally identified my gpa's travel from Europe to US. He is in the list of emigrants posted in the Hamburg outward passenger lists for the SS Patricia, of Hamburg-America line. It states he left 19 May 1901, traveling to New York with stops in Boulogne and Plymouth. However, I can not find sign of him in the passenger lists for Ellis Island. The Patricia arrived 1 June 1901, according to the Morton Allen ships directory.
In a case where the ship stops in multiple places, do passengers disembark for any reason if their ticket says destination is different? Would he hae been delayed from leaving at Hamburg if he is on the ships list?
Is the any other explanation on why I could not find him in passenger lists on US side?
I know for sure when he was in the US, but his exact arrival data eludes me.
Gpa's name is Stanislaw Katarski, but the transcribed Hamburg list has him as Kotarski, from Zbojna, Russia, now Poland.
