The Brazos manifest does not indicate whether he stayed in the US or not. It is the later Oct boarder crossing from Canada that shows him asking for entry into the US.
He also appears on a couple of US Census records... It appears that the last ship he is listed on sailed July 1956.... all the manifests he is listed as either a cook, Messman or dishwasher
